The official page of Glasgow Real Ale Festival, organised by the Glasgow & West of Scotland branch of CAMRA

Welcome to the home page of the Glasgow Real Ale Festival (G-RAF) run by the Glasgow and West of Scotland branch of CAMRA. The festival is usually held annually at The Briggait, near the River Clyde to the south of the city’s Merchant City area.

At the last G-RAF, held in 2019, we offered something for everyone with over a hundred and fifty real ales, ciders, and foreign beers available. In addition to the beers and ciders, meads from the Rookery, gins from Eden Mill and a small selection of wines were made available. The 2020 festival was planned to take place on the 18th to 20th June but unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, the National Executive of CAMRA announced on the 17th March 2020 that all CAMRA festivals due to take place before the end of June that year were cancelled, which included G-RAF 2020.

We were also unable to hold the festival in 2021 but we have now started planning G-RAF 2022. The provisional dates for the festival are Thursday, 16th to Saturday, 18th June and it will be held, once again, at The Briggait.

We are also looking at the possibility of holding a mini festival in the Glasgow area in January 2022. This would be a much smaller event with a range of both cask and keykeg ales. Planning for both these events is at an early stage and will be dependent on what restrictions are in place at the time.
